Natacha AGBAHOUNGBA is a dynamic and passionate young woman from Benin who founded Moringa Social Venture, a social company that promotes healthy lifestyle through Moringa (a highly nutrient plant) derived products. Member of the Benin Yali Alumni Association, she wrote and coordinated the Generation W/SHE LEADS project
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fyA9OBwfG) that was financed by the State Department through the Benin US Embassy after working with The Hunger Project Benin.

Natacha was among the first beneficiaries of the RECIPROCAL PROGRAM EXCHANGE of the Mandela Washington Fellowship program. She was selected in 2017 and 2019 to implement projects on Agriculture and women economic empowerment. She worked with eight (08) women groups; five groups at SE, one of the communities in Benin where malnutrition rate is high and three women groups at DASSA where women are really engaging and eager to learn and be financially empowered. Her works with American professionals impacted more than 850 households. For those communities where malnutrition rate is high, she designs a Moringa food supplement (Moringa peanut paste) highly nutrient with local resources that help children to recover and prevent malnutrition phenomenon.

Natacha was also the collaborator for the Leveraging Innovation in New Communities (LINC) grant in February 2020, where she hosted 2019 MW fellow Yvonne MANKAAH’CHE from
Cameroon. They worked on financial empowerment of women on Moringa farming and nutrition education on the use of Moringa and other food items to enrich their children foods and the preparation of balance diets using local available and affordable food stuffs.

Formerly, she was the Director of the SHE’S GREAT project, a project financed by State Department/Global Women Initiative (GWI) through IREX with Benin Yali Alumni Association as implementing partner (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxPXh3HUXfQ&t=335s) till August 2020. She was a consultant at IREX, a U.S nonprofit.

Natacha is now working with the BATONGA FOUNDATION as Project Manager of Women’s Economic Empowerment where she will enhance the Income Generating Activities of SONAFA clubs
and help create, manage and empower the Young Women Business Circles through Income Generating Activities, financial inclusion, savings and loans, etc.
