Ashley Guy is a Peace Corps Volunteer in Benin working for the Batonga Foundation as the Program Assistant for Outreach and Innovation as well as the liaison between the Batonga Foundation and Peace Corps Benin. Ashley obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies at The Ohio State University. She concentrated her degree on International Relations and African Studies.

Prior to working with the Batonga Foundation, Ashley worked as paralegal for several law firms specializing in immigration law, family law, and sexual assault cases. She also worked for women’s empowerment initiatives in Costa Rica and taught English to secondary school students in Benin.

Ashley is passionate about the gender equity and the empowerment of girls and women across the globe. She strives to work every day toward the liberation of girls and women from gender-based oppression.
